ATBAswitzerland 15th Anniversary – Swiss Open 08.-11.08.2024
ATBAswitzerland is celebrating its 15th anniversary and is once again inviting all downhill mountainboarders to Flumserberg in south-east Switzerland this summer. With the "Blue Salamander", Flumerberg offers an incredible downhill / flow trail. With a length of 3.8km, a difference in altitude of 356m and a width of 1.5m, the track is suitable for mountainboarders with and without brakes, especially for advanced and professional riders. A gondola will take you comfortably to the start.
Thursday and Friday are arrival and training days. The competition starts on Saturday, in "Open Pit Lane" format. Each rider can ride as often as they like. We use the Race Chrono free app (free for Android) for timekeeping. You will need an Android smartphone that supports GPS. We will download the course data to your smartphone before the race. Please let us know at registration if you do not have an Android smartphone, a few devices are available to borrow. Sunday will then be reserved for relaxing, sightseeing and departure.
ATBAswitzerland has rented a house with 20+ beds and a large car park for the weekend. The house is only a few hundred metres from the base station. Everyone is welcome to spend the weekend in our house or park their van in the car park. On Friday and Saturday we organise a dinner and party at the house.
Budget:
For our 15th anniversary, we want to give something back to all mountainboarders for all the events and great times we've had together. ATBAswitzerland will provide accommodation, breakfast, dinner and beer!
